CHA COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT

We are excited to announce and update the below list of coaches for the 2024-2025 travel teams.

Teams with a ‘TBD’ have coaches identified and are in the last stages of their hiring.

8U-1 – Michal Polidor
8U-2 – Rich DiZinno
10-1 – Brett Waibel
10-2 – Sean Cusson
Sean grew up playing hockey in Massachusetts where he learned to love the game.  Sean enjoys teaching his three daughters the game of hockey. He coaches his team to play fast and be creative.  Sean was very proud how his team supported each other through the highs and lows of last season. Sean is a USAH Level 4 coach.
10-3 – Lauri Tahtinen
Lauri is from Finland so he’s got snow and ice running through his veins. His favorite sport is pond hockey — ask him about the Nordic method of calculating ice formation — and, last year, he was excited to earn his USAH Level 4 coaching certification. His coaching philosophy focuses on turning little hockey geniuses into a strong team.
12-1 – Ben Kwon
12-2 – Brian McClelland
Brian is a DMV native who grew up playing for the Howard Huskies, culminating in winning the Timmy Nicolai award for an outstanding Midget level player and person (player, student, citizen). He attended Dickinson College where he played all four seasons including serving as Captain during his senior year. Brian started coaching ice hockey when he was in high school and picked it up again when his son started playing hockey.
12-3 – Joey Milici
12-4 – TBD
14-1 – Mark Granatire and Christian Pomarico
14-2 – Rob Barrett and Christian Barrett
14-3 – JP Klousia
J.P. is a long-time hockey player and coach who grew up in Alexandria VA playing in the CBHL. He's Level IV certified and has two boys playing for Caps Academy. After coaching his boys in RHL and RHL Selects, he coached CHA 8U, 10, 12U and 14U teams. He believes strongly that hockey is a game for life and wants to build great men as well as great hockey players. He is looking forward to a great year.
14-4 – Ron Ainey
16-1 – Henry White
16-2 – Ben Adams
16-3 – Rob Stewart & Scott Clarke
18-1 – Bill Wiggins & Dave Abba
18-2 – TBD

We look forward to a great season and see you on the ice in August!

CHA Jersey Numbers

Jersey numbers are posted. Please view the pdf. Players are listed alphabetically within their team.

There are two documents - one for 8U-12U and one for 14U-18U.

While you may not have received one of your first options for a jersey number and nobody on your team has that number, we do our best to assign jersey numbers so that there is not a conflict in future years
