On behalf of the Greater Greenville Hockey Association & the South Carolina Scholastic Hockey Association, I would like to welcome you to Greenville’s 2020-2021 High School Hockey program!

Greenville’s high school team is a community based team, participating in the South Carolina Scholastic Hockey Association. Our team is made up of 9th-12th grade students from the Upstate, representing multiple high schools (last year’s team was made up of students from 10 separate schools). 

Each season, teams across the state compete in a series of regular season games beginning in October and a State Championship tournament in late February/ early March. The State Championship team then moves on to compete at the USA Hockey High School National Championships, as a Division 2 (combined schools) team.

Greenville has fielded a high school team for 20 years, and recently, has been the State Champions for the 2015, 2018, 2019, and 2020 seasons. Our 2018 and 2019 State Champions went on to make the quarter-finals of the National Championship! 

High School hockey is a great opportunity for players to enjoy competitive hockey with a less intensive schedule than travel, although many of our players participate in both high school & travel hockey. High school season games are on Friday nights, making it possible for players to participate in both.
