2024 PSHP

The Webster Groves Ice Arena is once again hosting the Prep Spring Hockey Program. It is the

same league we have operated for over twenty years. This program is an excellent opportunity

for high school coaches to evaluate their future players and to begin working with them. We

want the spring season to be an enjoyable experience for all players and teams. We expect

superior sportsmanship from all players, coaches, and spectators.

The league is open to sixth, seventh and eighth grade players (birth years – ‘09, ‘10, ’11, ‘12)

It is a no-check league.

Play starts the Tuesday after Easter and concludes Sunday, May 12 th . (There are no games before

Easter.) The league will consist of six teams, playing each other two times. All teams will

qualify for a post season playoff. Teams play two games a week, are guaranteed eleven games

and could play as many as 13 depending on their finish and playoff run.

Certified officials are scheduled by the referee’s association. The home team is responsible for

providing scorekeepers. The visiting team is responsible for providing timekeepers. Score

sheets will be available in the rink supervisor’s office. The scorekeeper must turn the white copy

of the score sheet into the manager’s office after the game. Please, only score keepers and

timekeepers allowed in the crow’s nest.

Teams provide their own jerseys – Traditionally – , Burroughs/Gold, MICDS/Red, Priory/Blue,

Webster /Orange, Cyclones / uniforms, Parkway West/Light blue..

Games will consist of three twelve-minute periods. There is, however, a one-hour time limit on

all games, including warm-ups. With five minutes remaining in the allotted time, the game clock

will be adjusted to two minutes.
