Regular Season
The 2023-2024 regular season was a testament to the team’s hard work, determination, and skill. With one of the youngest teams in program history, the squad was able to put together one of its best seasons historically. With a record of 13-5-1, the team earned the #4 seed in the Northeast Region and #22 nationally. This impressive performance set the stage for a promising postseason.
Regionals
At the Regionals, the team demonstrated their speed and talent against some unlikely opponents. UNH blanked Saint Anselm College 3-0 in the semi-finals and cruised by Central Connecticut College 8-1 in the finals. The dominant weekend performance punched the team’s ticket to its third straight National Tournament appearance.
Nationals
In the Nationals group play, the team showed resilience and tenacity. They tied the #6 ranked St. Thomas 4-4 in Game #1, lost to the #1 Florida Gulf Coast 5-2 in Game #2, and beat #35 ranked Metropolitan State University-Denver 4-1 in Game #3. Unfortunately, a playoff record of 1-1-1 was not enough to advance to the Frozen Four. However, the young team ended on a high note, demonstrating their potential for future seasons.
Honors
A special mention goes to Owen Roberto, who was honored to be named to the Second Team All-American in the Northeast Region. His exceptional performance throughout the season was recognized and celebrated.
Closing Marks
Despite the challenges and intense competition, the team showed remarkable spirit and determination all year long. The experience gained this season will undoubtedly serve as a strong foundation for the next.
The team would like to recognize our graduating seniors: Joseph Bodenrader and Michael Siemering. These two gentlemen have provided so much to this team on and off the ice, and their presence will be missed.
The team is excited for the 2024-25 season, with over 25 returner players in hopes of another national championship run.
