Welcome to WPI Ice Hockey

Upcoming Events

2021-2022 Season

The Engineers finished in second place in the Northeast Division after losing to Coast Guard 3-1 in the championship game. Although we did not come out on top WPI still managed to finish 23rd in the entire D3 conference with a record of 10-4-0. Overall the Engineers had a hell of a season and are eager to run it back next year with a goal of winning Nationals. After the season, the team held their annual 3v3 tournament as the last hurrah for the year (image above).

Important Update

We will be switching websites by the start of the 2022-2023 season, stay tuned for the link to that site.

That's a Wrap!

Everyone from WPI Hockey would like to thank you for your continued support as this season was the first "real" season in almost two years! Can't wait to get back out on the ice next winter, see ya soon.

Passing of Mike Gasek '59, and Coach David Roy

It is with a sad and heavy heart that we inform everyone of the passing of Mike Gasek '59, and Coach David Roy in recent months.

Mike Gasek ’59, from Northborough, MA, passed away on August 16, 2020. Mike was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in the Fall of 2019 and following an unsuccessful treatment, Mike chose to return to home where he was surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. All of us owe Mike a debt of gratitude for starting the WPI Hockey Club back in the 1950's, becoming the first president and captain of the WPI Hockey Club and allowing for this great opportunity.

David Roy, from Northborough, MA, passed away on September 5, 2020. Coach Roy joined the WPI Club Hockey program in 1987 after hearing about the opening and remained the Coach through 2002 before stepping into semi-retirement.  His impact on the WPI Club Hockey Program and the players that he coached is immeasurable.

Thank You Seniors
