Don Cruickshank Memorial Arena
One of the most popular recreation facilities operated by the District of Port Hardy is the 450-seat Don Cruickshank Memorial Ice Arena, where a regulation ice surface is home to hockey players and recreational skaters from September to March. This facility offers an 85′ x 200′ ice surface with seating capacity for 450 people.
Men’s and women’s hockey leagues, three North Island Eagles rep hockey teams, and numerous minor hockey house teams utilize this facility. The Port Hardy arena also offers a warm room available to ice users for birthday parties or special events. Please call 250.949.6686 for a list of available ice time or to book a special event. Space is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Port Hardy Pool is closed for renovations until further notice.

We have a few spots left for our Hummingbird Art Class this Friday, May 10.
These classes are held at Cafe Guidos so you can purchase a treat or drink while you paint.
Bring your child/teen, a friend, date night or come by yourself.

Come and play on the Arena Dry Floor with Ball Hockey, Lego, Parachute, Scooters, Board Games, and Free Play Activities.
***Youth Hockey and the Free Play Event overlap so we will section off an area for the Youth Hockey
Kids Ball Hockey: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Ages 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
No pre-registration required, stay as little or as long as you would like
Come join us for JUST DANCE! A time to let loose with creative movement, hip hop moves and freestyling while learning a choreographed dance. Only 3 weeks left to register, spots are limited.

Port Hardy Recreation is hosting their second Hardy Hustle Race; featuring a 10K and Half Marathon!
Sunday, June 9
Warm Up: 9:45 am | Start Time: 10:00 am
Start Site: Civic Centre | 7400 Columbia St.
Finish Site: Carrot Park | Market & Douglas St.
Walk or run the roads featuring the beauty of Port Hardy's quaint downtown and residential areas, beautiful waterfront walkway and estuary.
