Skating Rinks and Arena

Public skating sessions will follow the regular schedule until March 30. Wearing a helmet is compulsory for all. Public skating will resume in mid-September.

The municipal arena has a rink, changing rooms and a meeting room. When in season, public skating periods are offered on Tuesdays from 16:00 to 16:50 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 13:00 to 13:50. Free skating sessions for adults only are also scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 until April 11. Wearing a helmet is compulsory for all. 

Free with a valid 2024 recreation membership, or pay the entrance fee. In addition, the arena is used as a home rink for the MRO Minor Hockey Association and the Town of Mount Royal Figure Skating Club.

Please note that the outdoor rinks are closed for the season.

Danyluk Park

• A hockey rink, lit, with boards (in front of the arena);
• A hockey rink, lit, with boards (near the synthetic soccer field);
• A skating oval, lit, for free skating only (behind the recreation center);
• A skating oval, lit, for hockey, reserved for children 12 and under (near the Town Hall parking lot);
• A chalet for changing accessible 7 days a week, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.;
• An area with tables has been set up behind the recreation center for changing.

Connaught Park

• A skating oval, lit, for free skating only (near the chalet);
• A chalet for changing accessible 7 days a week, generally from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends;
• An area with benches has been set up next to the skating rink for changing.

Mohawk Park

• A hockey rink, lit, with boards (at the baseball field);
• A skating oval, lit, for free skating only (at the baseball field);
• A chalet for changing accessible 7 days a week, generally from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends;
• An area with tables has been set up at the entrance to the baseball field for changing.
