Since 1969, the Arvada Hockey Association (AHA) has been serving the community. Officially registered and operated as a non-profit, AHA maintains a vision that focuses on the game, the kids, and the community. Over the years, AHA has learned to develop and grow the program through key initiatives that focus on improving the resources available for the largely volunteer workforce. For example, AHA has been officially recognized and sponsored as an early adopter of the USA Hockey Advanced Development Model which allows for professional resources to be available to train coaches and provide top tier practice material that is focused on the athletic and mental development of youth hockey players. For Governance and order, AHA maintains bylaws that dictate our operation and maintain transparency to the community we serve. AHA has also been careful to recruit and assemble a board of directors, a coaching committee, a grievance committee, and a scholarship committee that are filled with key personnel that have established relationships inside the hockey world as well as inside the local community to ensure that AHA members and their families are receiving only the best for their children.
