Overview

Cougar Field is the home to the Kean University softball program and its construction was completed in time for the 2008 season. This marked the first time in the history of the program that the softball team had its home field on the Main Campus after playing for many years at the East Campus. With a press box and seating for 200, the field surface was installed with FieldTurf. In the summer of 2014, lighting was added to round out the complex. The facility was upgraded in the winter of 2021 with Shaw Sports Turf and features a complete turf surface.
