The Northern New York State Hockey League (NNYSHL) was established in 2021 to provide an ice hockey league for teams near the Albany, NY area to compete. Our mission is to provide a variety of youth hockey levels (Tier I, Tier II and Tier III) boys and girls tournament and non-tournament bound teams, to achieve as much parity as possible. At the end of the day, the most important goal is for the players to have fun and enjoy the great game of hockey.
Since 2011(the original TVHL), we have expanded our geography and divisions to ensure that every player and team has the best possible hockey experience. We feel we have accomplished our goals, as evident from the smiles on the faces of our players in the photos. In 2012, we added Midget divisions into the league and with a lot of hard work and effort from our volunteers, it was a very successful start. In 2017 we expanded to include the NYSAHA Northern Zone teams in Tier I, Tier II and Tier III, as well as adding Girls Tier II divisions.
